Twins end 2026 season on winning note. Now what?

The Twins won their final series of the 2026 season over the Texas Rangers, including a 6-4 win on Sunday. The Twins wrap things up with a 77-85 record, good enough for third place in the American League Central. Was it a good season? In many ways, yes. After the Twins traded away all of... Twins earn rare series win over National League team

It’s been a strange season when it comes to the Minnesota Twins and the National League. The Twins took the series from the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday with a 4-2 win, but it only “improved” their record against the Senior Circuit to 18-30. And series wins were rare. In fact, the Twins usually came... Continue Reading »

The Twins held on for a 3-2 win over the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday, leveling the series at a game apiece and marking a milestone for starting pitcher Taj Bradley. This Twins season can’t end soon enough

What a disappointment the 2026 Minnesota Twins season has been. The Twins on Thursday fell to 15-27 since July after they lost 5-4 in extra innings to the Los Angeles Angels in Game 1 of a new but likely disappointing series. Starter Taj Bradley served up three quick runs, but the Twins rallied with three... Continue Reading »

Twins, Ryan lose again

The good news: Pitcher Joe Ryan can still get guys out as he fanned seven in his return to the mound from the injured list on Monday. The bad news: Ryan coughed up three early runs (two earned) and the Twins never fully recovered in a 5-4 loss to the Tigers in Game 1 of... Continue Reading »

Can the Twins’ baseball season end in July?

The Twins lost again on Friday, a 7-4 defeat to the Chicago White Sox at home to drop them further back in the race for either the division or wild card. The loss also acted as a reminder of just how challenging late-summer baseball has been for this team over the past three seasons. The... Continue Reading »

Hi, I’m Rolf Boone, Twins fan.

I became a fan of the Minnesota Twins after a friendly wager in the early 1980s. I survived Ron Davis, the meltdown in Cleveland, Phil Bradley at the Kingdome and then marveled at a rising generation of stars and two World Series wins in 1987 and 1991. Brad Radke made the 1990s bearable, while Kirby Puckett’s eye injury, exit from the game and eventual death made it almost too much to bear. The new century ushered in more talent — Joe Mauer, Johan Santana, Joe Nathan, Torii Hunter, Justin Morneau — and consecutive seasons of playoff baseball, followed by consecutive seasons of losing baseball. A winning season returned in 2015. So here we are. Go Twins.
